Summer Camp is Postponed Until August 21st.

Dear Benefactor,

The recent events in Haiti have been troubling to our entire board as we attempt to make sense of the unnerving destabilizing criminality imposed on a people that have suffered so much. Haiti needs your prayers more than ever. Please pray for goodwill and cooperation amongst the leaders charged with moving the country forward.

In my daily conversations with our people on the ground, they are pleasantly surprised at how calm the country is, and outside of Port-au-Prince, life is normal. Our Haiti CCCC director is still confident that we can move on with our original camp date, but since our host priest recommended postponing camp as a display of sensitivity during this period of national mourning, our board deliberated and opted for the latter. To that end, we have tentatively moved back the camp date to August 21-August 28. The additional month will allow us to observe and reassess how the country is moving forward following this tragic assassination.

Please continue to pray for Haiti, for Rev Jean-Marc, our host priest, the staff of CCCC Haiti, and for the young people whose eagerness and joy make our work meaningful.

I am grateful for your continued support.

On behalf of the children – Thank you!
